He helped her at the risk of his life.(彼は命を賭けて彼女を助けた)〔ライトハウス英和〕
He saved her at the risk of (losing) his own life.(彼は自分の命を賭けて彼女を救った)〔ジーニアス英和〕
He invested all his savings in the stock market at the risk of losing everything.(すべてを失う危険を冒して、彼はすべての貯金を株式市場に投資した)〔英熟語最前線1515〕
at the risk of… そのことは、Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English (6th edition)の定義にもちゃんと書いてあります:“used when you think that what you are going to say or do may have a bad result, may offend or annoy people etc.”

Will they go ahead with these plans, even at the risk of offending the Americans? [LDCE]

Merriam-Webster’s Advanced Learner’s English Dictionary(2017)
